  1. The more “loud” items you connect to a cat, the more deadly it becomes.
I tried this with our cat when I was a kid, but bells didn’t work.

  2. You might even refuse to allow them outside. They get illness and decimate the avian and rodent populations in the area. Outside, they’re a threat.

  3. This did not work for me. I had to utilize the, which prevents them from jumping forward and grasping objects. But, for their own health, it’s even preferable to simply limit their outside time as much as possible.

  4. After The Great Bat Incident, I tried a jingle collar on my Jaws of Death. Instead of giving me a decapitated mouse or bat, she brought me three mice overnight to demonstrate how the collar didn’t function.

Suffice to say the collar got scrapped very quickly.

  5. Keep them the fuck indoors, where they belong! That’s a far easier and superior solution! House cats are not native to any part of the world and are ruthless killers.

  6. It’s very nice. When we put a bell on our cat’s collar, he was commando crawling with a paw over the bell to keep it quiet while he hunted birds within days.

It’s a shame we didn’t have something similar.

  7. My cats figured out how to remove their collars, so I stopped allowing them outside since I was afraid they’d be attacked by a larger animal or hit by a car, especially after one of my cats went missing for 5 days 🙁

  8. My Boots had to practice stalking without ringing his bell for almost a week. After that, he learned out how to get rid of the collar, and he became even more lethal.

  9. It took approximately a week for my Boots to figure out how to stalk without clanging his bell. Then he discovered out how to get rid of the collar, and he became even more lethal.

  10. Better still, leave your murderous machines locked up inside! The domesticated cat is one of the most damaging invasive species on the globe, responsible for the extinction of several tiny birds and continuing to do so.

  11. Outside, cats are not permitted to be off leash where I live. If we left my cat outside unattended, I’m sure he’d kill a lot of birds.

  12. People would be outraged if a lot of dog owners started letting their dogs run around outside unaccompanied only because “ah, but they love it.”

So, why do so many knuckleheads think it’s right to do this to cats?
