  1. Honestly, I’m not sure how he managed to keep them a secret from each other. Unless he saw a couple of them every day… it’s just because this guy is talented. Excellent abilities.

  2. The man was in his late thirties and not particularly attractive, while the women were in their thirties and forties. There is a huge market for an unattached man in that population. So, yeah, it’s easy to believe.

  3. Find out the girls’ birthdays first, then remind them yours is two months earlier. Break up about a month and a half after your ostensible birthday.

  4. It’s definitely a shady step to cheat on 35 people, but I’m not sure what part of this will be considered fraud legally. I’m curious about the laws that govern this in Japan.

  5. What’s more impressive is that this is Japan, where most people are reluctant to interact with outsiders, let alone date. This guy right here is a knucklehead.

  6. That reminds me of the story about a Chinese man who married four women in secret and bought them all houses within walking distance of each other.

  7. So, if he dated 35 women and told them all his real birthday and received gifts from all 35 on that day, would he be considered a fraud?

  8. It would be in a separate sub with a totally skewed comments section if a woman did this to 35 men. Downvote this to prove me wrong.

  9. Let’s not talk about the fraud; can anyone tell me how he dated 35 women at the same time? In most people’s lives, they don’t date 35 people… This guy should write a seduction book.

  10. I’m not sure; according to the original report, he got £668 in gifts, averaging less than £20 per “relationship.” It’s likely he’s never really interacted with any of these women in any meaningful way, but if he spends more than an hour on average with any of them, he’d be better off finding a second job.

  11. It seems to be a zero-sum game. Wasn’t he supposed to buy 35 birthday presents in return? Or did he just time his breakups like a ninja? To keep track of everything, he would have used a complex spreadsheet.
